Aims & Scope

Food Research and Supplementation (FRS) is a new international open access journal covering the emerging fields of food research and supplementation that contribute to a better understanding and utilization of the recently discovered decisive molecular mechanisms and mediators that determine optimal human nutrition and health. The journal promotes progress in basic and applied sciences that enables cutting edge research in all fields related to food, nutrients and supplementation.

As the global population ages, a demographic transition challenges science and society. Dietary patterns and healthy foods that allow for an extension of the human health span have to be identified and characterized. Nutrients that promote a lifestyle of health and sustainability can make a difference in protecting against premature aging and disease.
