The inaugural ARBIOCOM/13th CCN Workshop world conference, is a joint meeting celebrating the 25th anniversary of the International CCN Society (ICCNS) and the 5th anniversary of the creation of ARBIOCOM (ARBC).
The non-profit ICCNS (https://ccnsociety.com ) was created in 2000, to facilitate the diffusion of scientific and biomedical information in the fields of CCN genes and proteins, participating in the regulation of several key signaling pathways involved in normal and pathological developmental aspects among living species.
The official unified nomenclature adopted by the Hugo Nomenclature Committee (HGNC) and published in 2019 (Perbal B, Tweedie S, Bruford E.), calls for the use of the acronyms, CCN1-6, and discontinuation of the misleading CYR61, CTGF, NOV and WISP 1-3 acronyms respectively.
Since the 6 CCN proteins are only a part of a multidisciplinary network of signaling proteins, the ICCNS has been renamed “International Cellular Communication Network Society »
The ARBIOCOM( https://arbiocom.wordpress.com) created in 2019 is a non-profit networking association whose goal is to foster the cross-pollination of ideas to address fundamental scientific and biomedical questions in all areas of signal transduction and cell communication in biological systems.
ARBIOCOM promotes society meetings, supports interdisciplinary collaborations, and organizes both virtual and in-person events. These include educational forums/meetings that bridge basic science, preclinical discoveries, and clinical applications across a wide range of disciplines.
The inaugural conference to be held in Nice, December 13-17th, 2025, will be the first joint meeting organized under the scientific responsibility of the ICCNS, as a member of the ARBIOCOM Board of Partners
