Synthetic Biology and Engineering Officially Indexed in ESCI
We are pleased to announce that the open-access journal Synthetic Biology and Engineering (SBE) has been officially indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) of Clarivate. The ESCI will include all articles published by the journal since its launch in 2023 (Volume 1, Issue 1). The journal is expected to receive its first Journal Impact Factor in 2027. This milestone marks a significant step forward in the journal’s development and international recognition.

Synthetic Biology and Engineering (SBE) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal. Jointly led by Prof. Dr. An-Ping Zeng from Westlake University and Prof. Dr. Shang-Tian Yang from The Ohio State University, the journal focuses on interdisciplinary research in synthetic biology. It commits to publishing high-quality original research covering full-chain studies ranging from fundamental life system exploration to industrial translational practice, aiming to foster global academic exchange and innovation to advance synthetic biology research.
