It is a pleasure to welcome you to the 10th International Symposium on Sturgeon (ISS10, 2025).
The International Sturgeon Conservation Symposium (ISS), organized every four years by the World Sturgeon Conservation Society (WSCS), brings together experts, managers, stakeholders, and industry representatives from around the world. There are five concurrent sessions focusing on: the biology and ecology of Acipenseriformes, species responses to climate change, the impacts of human activities and ecological restoration, applied research and aquaculture, and caviar production and trade regulation.
Target audiences are: engineers, ecologists, biologists, managers, practitioners, NGOs, private companies, consultants, students, and policy and decision makers. The event aims to address the global decline and endangerment of sturgeon species, contribute to the sustainable development of sturgeon aquaculture, and fulfill the shared mission of improving sturgeon conservation worldwide.
ISS10 will be held from October 20 to 25, 2025, at China Three Gorges University in Yichang, Hubei Province, China. The theme of the symposium is “Ensuring a shared future for humans and sturgeons.”
ISS10 is a six-day conference featuring plenary sessions, parallel sessions, specialized workshops, trade exhibitions, and technical tours. Additional activities will include regular and board meetings of WSCS, presentations on sturgeon aquaculture and related products, as well as sightseeing opportunities.
