V CME Cardiologists Conference (
Cardio 2026) will be held on 18–19 May 2026 in Athens, Greece, and the V Euro HeartCare and Cardiovascular Medicine Conference (
HeartCare 2026) will take place on 19–20 October 2026 in Berlin, Germany. Both meetings are major international scientific events that bring together practicing cardiologists, cardiovascular imaging specialists, researchers, allied heart-care professionals, industry partners, and multidisciplinary teams to explore advances shaping the future of cardiovascular and vascular medicine.
Against the backdrop of a growing global cardiovascular disease burden and rapid technological innovation, this joint special issue aims to showcase high-quality clinical, translational, and technical research presented at Cardio 2026 and HeartCare 2026, as well as other original studies closely aligned with the scientific themes of the two conferences.
This special issue invites submissions of original research articles, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, case series, and high-impact case reports in cardiovascular medicine. Submissions are particularly encouraged in the following priority areas:
- Clinical cardiology: coronary artery disease, heart failure, cardiomyopathies, valvular heart disease, acute coronary syndromes, and long-term clinical outcomes
- Interventional cardiology and cardiovascular surgery: novel techniques, device evaluation, and procedural outcomes
- Cardiac electrophysiology: arrhythmia mechanisms, ablation strategies, pacing therapies, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), and leadless systems
- Vascular medicine and peripheral artery disease: diagnosis, interventional approaches, and long-term management
- Cardiovascular imaging and diagnostics: echocardiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear cardiology, and multimodality imaging for clinical decision-making
- Translational and regenerative cardiovascular research: molecular mechanisms, stem-cell and gene-therapy approaches, and preclinical-to-clinical translation
- Digital health, artificial intelligence, and big data: predictive modeling, clinical decision support, telemedicine, remote monitoring, and mobile health (mHealth) solutions for chronic cardiovascular care
- Safety, quality improvement, and complication management in cardiovascular procedures
