Overview

SCIEPublish is a publisher of scholarly open access journals. All journals uphold a peer-reviewed, rapid, and rigorous manuscript handling and editorial process.

SCIEPublish journals are the perfect place for you to publish your work under an open access license, in a fast and straightforward manner. Our journals are indexed in the leading databases and, since they are open access, have a broad readership.

Authorship Introduction

All people designated as co-authors must qualify for authorship. Authorship credit of SCIEPublish is based on the following four criteria, complying with the ICMJE Recommendations 2018.

• Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work; AND
• Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content; AND
• Final approval of the version to be published; AND
• Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.

Each author should meet all four criteria for authorship, and those who do not meet all four criteria should be acknowledged in the section “Acknowledgement”. Manuscripts authored by a larger group of people should list not only the name of the involved organizations in the manuscript but also their specific contribution in the section “Author Contribution”. 

The information of the co-authors must be confirmed by the corresponding author(s). Any changes to the author list after submission, such as a change in the order of the authors or the deletion or addition of authors, must be approved by every author. No change is allowed on authorship after official acceptance of manuscripts.

The corresponding author(s) take primary responsibility of communicating with journal Editors during manuscript processing, before and after publication, and typically ensure that all the journal's requirements are properly completed.

When two authors contribute equally to a work, authors can indicate dual first authorship or co-first authors with the symbol of "†" on the Authors' information of the manuscript and a short note "Those authors contributed equally to this article."

General Peer-Review and Editorial Procedure

This journal operates a single anonymized review process. All submissions will be initially assessed by the Publisher for suitability for the journal. Submissions deemed suitable are then typically sent to a minimum of two independent expert reviewers to assess the scientific quality of the manuscript. The Academic Editor is responsible for the final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of articles. The Academic Editor's decision is final.

Editors are not involved in decisions about papers that they have written themselves or have been written by family members or colleagues or which relate to products or services in which the editor has an interest. Any such submission is subject to all of the journal's usual procedures, with peer review handled independently of the relevant editor and their research groups.

Editorial Decision and Revision

All the manuscripts published in SCIEPublish journals go through rigorous peer review and will receive a minimum of two review reports. The Academic Editor will give his/her decision at every step to the authors regarding the following:

• Acceptance: The manuscript can be accepted in its current form.
• Minor Revision: The manuscript can be accepted after addressing all the revisions provided by the reviewers.
• Major Revisions: It depends on the revised version whether the manuscript could be accepted or not. Usually, the revised version will be re-checked by the reviewers.
• Reject and Encourage Resubmission: The manuscript is rejected due to the lack of additional experiments which supports the conclusions, and resubmission will be encouraged once the authors complete the further experiments.
• Rejection: The manuscript has serious flaws, and/or is lack of novelty or significant contribution.

Production and Publication

Once accepted, our Editorial Office will take charge of typesetting, copyediting, DOI registration, HTML production and publication, volume information editing, and the journal release.

Minor updates of the online version can be permitted before the formal release of the current Issue. However, if errors are found after the current Issue released, it is necessary to publish erratum / correction to correct the errors.
